The Rooms - All rooms are warm, comfortable, clean, light and airy. Accommodating an electrically operated fourway profiling hospital bed, a TV and a wash hand basin. Nine rooms have en-suite facilities plus overhead patient lifting equipment. You have a choice of any room that is available as they have the same cost.

The Staff

The summerfield employ around 50 staff all hand picked for their skills, abilities, attitude and experience. Each one is dedicated to providing the care an service you would expect from a professional company. All new employees undergo initial training before attending our patients alone; this is followed by continual updating and further training including NVQ courses that can result in a qualification to three levels in their craft. Qualifies Nurses and Nursing Assistant’s duties are purely to nurse and care. We have other teams eg. Housekeeping, Laundry, Catering and Maintenance to attend to all other aspects of running the building. While each section has its Head of Department, the Matron and General Manager keep a watchful eye and have overall responsibility.
